Kia Ora! I am the founder of Mama Aroha and a passionate advocate for breastfeeding and whānau wellbeing. With over 20 years of experience as a midwife, lactation consultant, educator, and mother of six, I feel i can bring both professional expertise and lived experience to every consultation. I have supported thousands of mothers and families across Aotearoa New Zealand and now i get to offer my services both online worldwide and in person throughout the Gold Coast and Queensland region. Amy’s approach blends evidence-based practice with cultural sensitivity and compassion, empowering parents to breastfeed with confidence and connection.

Cancellation Policy

Mama Aroha Lactation Consultant Service – Terms & Conditions These Terms & Conditions outline the agreement between you (the client) and Mama Aroha regarding the provision of lactation consultant services. By booking a consultation, you agree to the following: 1. Bookings & Payments -All consultations must be booked through the Mama Aroha website. -Payment is required in full at the time of booking to confirm your appointment. -A booking confirmation email will be sent to you once payment has been received. 2. Cancellations & Rescheduling -You may cancel or reschedule your appointment up to 24 hours before the scheduled time. -Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or failure to attend, will result in the full fee being charged. -To reschedule, please use the link provided in your confirmation email or contact us at admin@mamaaroha.com . 3. Refunds -Refunds will not be issued for missed appointments or late cancellations. -If a consultant is unavailable due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered the choice of a rescheduled appointment or a full refund. 4. Service Delivery Virtual Consultations: Delivered via a secure video platform. You are responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection and a quiet, private space. In-Person Consultations: Available only if you live in the local area of your consultant. Location details will be confirmed directly with you. Please note: Hands-on assistance may be limited in virtual consultations, but clear, step-by-step guidance will be provided. 5. Confidentiality & Privacy -All personal information and consultation discussions are treated as strictly confidential. -Information will only be shared with your consent, or if required by law. -Mama Aroha complies with all relevant privacy laws, including the NZ Privacy Act and international GDPR standards for global clients. 6. Scope of Practice -Mama Aroha Lactation Consultants provide education, support, and guidance based on evidence-informed practice. -This service does not replace medical care. You should seek medical attention for urgent concerns or if advised by your consultant. -Consultants will work within their professional scope of practice and refer you to other health professionals when appropriate. 7. Health & Safety (In-Person Consultations) -If you or your baby are unwell, please reschedule your in-person appointment. -Consultants reserve the right to decline or postpone an in-person consultation if concerned
