I’m Amy Wray, the founder of Mama Aroha. I trained as midwife, I'm a certified IBCLC Lactation Consultant, and mum of six, and for more than 20 years I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside thousands of families on their breastfeeding journeys.
The name Mama Aroha carries deep meaning for me — it speaks to the heart of what I want this space to be: a safe home where mothers feel seen, supported, and empowered. My intention is to nurture self-love first, so that women can grow the capacity to love and care for their babies, their whānau, and themselves with strength and confidence.
I created Mama Aroha to share both my professional knowledge and my lived experience in a way that’s practical, culturally grounded, and easy to connect with. My vision is simple — to normalise breastfeeding and make trusted, evidence-based, and culturally safe support accessible to every family, everywhere.
